New Patch Deployment Tool

In our team we are developing a new patch deployment tool,which will be like ‘Windows Update’.It will run on the server box & will connect to Ramco FTP server,to check for the latest update.

 

If there is a update available,it will automatically download and keep it ready.Then it will send out an email to the administrators that new patch available,they can opt to deploy or defer them.If they choose ‘Yes’,then it will send out email to the users & it will shutdown the servers (in the maintenance window) and apply the patch,then start them up.

 

Looks easy in the writing ? but it is not in the *Real* world.

 

We have completed the development,from tomorrow,we are going to test it in the local server.Lets see,how it works.
