A new Doctor Who spinoff is coming next year

Entitled Class, the show is being billed as "YA series" from young adult author Patrick Ness, will be set in modern-day London. Ness's work includes A Monster Calls and the Chaos Walking trilogy. Past Doctor Who spinoffs, including Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures, exist in the Doctor Who universe but rarely do the titular show's cast show up elsewhere.

Dish affiliates will hand back some spectrum licenses after controversy

Dish Network affiliates almost received $3.3 billion in small business discounts from a spectrum auction early this year, only for the FCC to take the discounts away when it became clear the "small business" discounts would go to businesses under Dish's control. According to The Wall Street Journal, the Dish affiliates have surrendered some spectrum licenses purchased in the auction back to the FCC. Handing back the spectrum licenses is only the most recent turn in the unfurling controversy over the Dish-backed companies' use of small business accounts.

T-Mobile says data breach at Experian unit may have hit 15 million customers

(Reuters) – T-Mobile US Inc said about 15 million of its U.S. subscribers may have been affected in a data breach at a unit of Experian Plc , a company that processes the telecom carrier's credit applications. The hacked data included names, dates of birth, addresses, and Social Security numbers as well as additional information used in T-Mobile's own credit assessment.
